Previously I discussed how to use Google Chrome + the Clearly WebApp + Evernote in conjunction to curate a digital library of online resources. This trio of tools is powerful, however, without a starting point, the task of curation is moot. When collecting digital resources for our classrooms, we need a starting point where we can quickly turn to locate a reliable collection of grade appropriate texts to support our curation. For Social Studies teachers who are looking to avoid a failed mission of "resource reconnaissance" and would like an easy starting point, I have put together a list of my favorite places to begin my search.
I would like to expand this post to include similar resources for teachers in other content areas: Math, Science, Language Arts, Art, Health/Fitness, Music, Drama, Special Ed, Library Sciences. If anyone has a favorite website where they turn to collect resources and articles for classroom use, please share with me and I will update the post.
